Masterson’s Pub , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my recent visit at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I discovered behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .
The State of the Venue : Unhygienic and Disregarded
From the moment I walked in , it was immediately obvious that upkeep was not a priority at this venue. The floorboards were filthy, and a nauseating aroma of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms polluted the entire establishment . Emitting a scent of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and a sickly smell. The main bar, which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages .
